Our Story

At Wild Basin Pools, we believe that outdoor spaces should be more than just beautiful — they should reflect how you live, entertain, and relax.

Founded by Oliver Moore, Wild Basin Pools was born from a passion for outdoor living and a desire to bring that experience to families and homeowners across Central Texas. With nearly a decade in construction and a degree in Construction Science from Texas State University, Oliver brings experience, vision, and heart to every project.

From clean-lined modern builds to natural Hill Country escapes, we create custom pools built to fit your vision — and your life. Each project is designed with intention, crafted with premium materials, and built to last.

We’re proud to serve Austin and the surrounding areas, including Horseshoe Bay, Spicewood, Bee Cave, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, and Driftwood — delivering luxury outdoor living throughout the Texas Hill Country.

Our Team

Oliver Moore

A native Texan and outdoor enthusiast, Oliver brings nearly a decade of hands-on construction experience to Wild Basin Pools. With a background in general contracting and a degree in Construction Science, he leads the team with a focus on quality, communication, and a deep understanding of what makes an outdoor space truly special. He lives in the heart of the Hill Country with his wife and two wonderful kids. When he isn’t working, you can find him tending to his yard or enjoying time with his family at a local brewery.

Kari Moore

Kari brings a strong background in the creative industry, blending design expertise with a sharp eye for detail. With a natural ability to stay organized and manage projects seamlessly, she ensures every aspect of the company’s brand and presentation reflects excellence. Her vision is to keep the company looking its best—elevating everything from marketing and media to client experiences—so that the quality of our pools shines through in every detail.

John Potts

John brings more than 25 years of sales experience to his role as Sales and Design Manager at Wild Basin Pools. With a passion for creating outdoor spaces that bring people together, he works closely with clients to design backyards that reflect their lifestyle and vision. An avid outdoorsman, John values time with family and friends and carries that same spirit of connection into every project he helps bring to life.

Jay Bellar

With over 40 years of experience and certification from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, Jay brings unmatched industry knowledge and leadership to every build. He ensures each pool is constructed with precision, safety, and excellence.

Mason Moore

Mason keeps every detail on track — from timelines to materials to on-site coordination. His attention to detail and dedication to customer service helps turn complex projects into seamless experiences.

Shelly Tufts

Shelly keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes at Wild Basin Pools, where she focuses on bookkeeping and financial operations. With years of experience in accounting, payroll, and invoicing, she is known for her eye for detail, consistency, and strong organizational skills. Shelly takes pride in supporting the team and making sure everything balances out, allowing Wild Basin Pools to stay focused on delivering beautiful pools and outstanding client experiences.

Lisa Cross

As our Permits & Materials Expediter, Lisa is the detail-oriented powerhouse who keeps our projects on track. She’s quick, organized, and always on top of every permit and order, making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Beyond her efficiency, she’s also one of the sweetest people you’ll meet—bringing a positive, friendly energy that makes working with her a joy.

How long does a custom pool project take?

Most of our custom pool builds take between 8–14 weeks, depending on the scope, weather, permitting, and materials. We’ll give you a realistic timeline during the design phase and keep you informed every step of the way.

Do I need to have a design or plan before contacting you?

Not at all. Many of our clients come to us with just a vision or inspiration photos. Our design team will walk you through the creative and technical process from the ground up.

What types of pools do you build?

We specialize in luxury custom pools, including modern, geometric, freeform, natural, and Hill Country retreat styles. Each pool is uniquely designed to fit your space, lifestyle, and vision.

Do you build more than just pools?

Yes — we offer complete outdoor living environments, including covered patios, sunken seating areas, outdoor kitchens, fire features, spas, and more.

Budgets can vary based on your location, site conditions, design complexity, and the features you choose. While there’s no one-size-fits-all number, many of our clients invest 15–30% of their home’s value into transforming their outdoor space. We’ll work with you to create a plan that aligns with your vision and your budget.
